The latest FOODITY newsletter brings together key results and resources developed by our community after three years of collaboration. This edition shares practical materials designed to be explored, used, and shared by everyone interested in responsible digital innovation in food and nutrition.
What’s inside?
The newsletter highlights two main resources, both presented during the FOODITY & DRG4FOOD Final Conference held in Brussels in October 2025:
The FOODITY & DRG4FOOD Innovators Booklet, which features our 20 funded projects using AI, open data, privacy-by-design, and GDPR-aligned infrastructures to support personalised nutrition, food transparency, food waste reduction, and citizen empowerment, all with a strong focus on personal data sovereignty.
The FOODITY Recipe Book, a community-driven publication with 28 recipes from 12 European countries, contributed by project partners, innovators, and collaborators. Alongside the recipes, the book includes reflections on sustainability, personal data, and the role of digital tools in everyday food choices.
The newsletter also looks back at the FOODITY & DRG4FOOD Final Conference, “A Recipe for Trust: Food, Data and Our Choices”, where innovators, researchers, policymakers, and experts explored how data-driven tools can improve food systems while respecting citizens’ rights.
Readers can access the full event recap and watch the conference video with interviews from project coordinators and innovators, including ONCONOURISH, Cacao-Tech, REDUCE, GENIE, SEBP, and DISH.
As FOODITY comes to a close, this newsletter reflects on how the resources, community, and solutions developed through the project will continue to support healthier, more sustainable, and citizen-centred food systems beyond the project’s lifetime.
