Meet the Innovators From FOODITY Open Call 2

We are thrilled to announce the winners of FOODITY’s Open Call #2! After a rigorous selection process, we have chosen six groundbreaking, multidisciplinary teams from across Europe to join our 12-month, €1 million Pilot Development Programme. These teams—comprising SMEs, research and technology organisations, social innovation actors, and training institutions—will receive up to €187,500 in funding, along with tailored mentoring, technical support, and business development services to help advance their innovations in food and nutrition.

FOODITY’s second Open Call launched on 8 May and closed on 10 July 2024, invited European innovators to propose data-driven solutions for healthier and more sustainable food systems. The response was incredible—we received 114 applications from over 30 countriessurpassing even our first call.

A huge thank you to everyone who applied and shared their visionary ideas with us. Your contributions highlight the growing momentum toward citizen-driven, data-powered solutions in food and nutrition.

What’s Next? The FOODITY Pilot Development Programme

Over the next 12 months, these FOODITY innovators will embark on our Pilot Development Programme, where they will:

  • Develop and implement their pilot projects, focusing on creating impactful, data-driven solutions in the food and nutrition sector.
  • Engage in citizen awareness activities, ensuring their solutions are user-centric and address real-world needs.
  • Receive comprehensive support, including tailored mentoring, technical assistance, and business development services to enhance their projects’ success and sustainability.
