FOODITY and DRG4Food are sister projects funded under the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.

FOODITY seeks to create a dynamic European ecosystem of digital solutions that demonstrate the potential of citizens’ personal data for better food systems.

DRG4Food focuses on achieving trust in a data-driven food system by implementing Digital Responsibility Goals for the food sector.

Both projects will each run two open calls, the first coming as early as September 2023. We will offer nearly 4 million EUR in equity-free funding, cutting-edge tech resources, and expert business support to researchers, startups, SMEs, social innovation actors, NGOs and training organisations embracing digital solutions in the food sector.

In particular, FOODITY will support third parties to develop data-driven solutions for food and nutrition, respecting users’ personal data sovereignty, and DRG4Food will help them to create and implement pilot solutions that have the potential to advance alternative approaches.
