MI4SaferFOOD, one of the winning projects from our first open call, focuses on multispectral imaging application for food safety and quality evaluation and aims to contribute to enhancing food quality assessment and safety.
They expect to improve the nutrition quality of consumers and their choices of vegetables and fruits, and to create a database capturing consumers’ eating habits and data characterising the quality of fresh products, which can be used by companies in the food industry.
“We aim to create a quick and safe food freshness indication method, ensuring a large user base for our final product, the smartphone app.”
Being part of FOODITY provides them with essential communication channels, fostering collaboration and aligning with an innovative vision, which greatly benefits the project. “FOODITY will not only help us to advance our individual projects but also to contribute to a healthier and more sustainable future.”
