FOODITY at the STS Conference Graz 2025: Engaging citizens for sustainable food systems

Our colleagues Ilse Marschalek and Maria Schrammel from the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) participated in the 23rd Annual STS Conference Graz 2025, one of Europe’s leading platforms for discussing the intersections of science, technology, and society.

During the conference, they hosted an interactive workshop showcasing the five stages of citizen engagement developed through FOODITY’s hubs in AustriaPortugal, and Bulgaria. The workshop highlighted how citizens can actively shape data-driven and sustainable food systems, bridging the gap between research, policy, and community action.

We want to extend our thanks to everyone who joined the session and contributed to this vibrant discussion. Your insights and engagement are what make these initiatives successful!
